Halfway through a live performance in Australia Tuesday night, Adele stopped to make a hilarious confession about being banned from her Twitter account by her own managers because she was drunk tweeting all the time. Not that anyone’s shocked or anything—the singer is the boss of not giving a damn about what people think.
But since her management does not share her enthusiasm for being so outspoken and mouthy, and have taken over her official account, she’s had to find a loop hole. And it’s kinda ingenious.
Speaking on stage, she said, “I was looking on Twitter last night. They don’t know I have a secret account, well obviously they do now because I said that. By ‘they’, I mean my management. I’m not allowed access to my own Twitter because I’m quite mouthy and I say the wrong thing a lot of the time, so they took that privilege away from me.”
We’re not sure if she has access to her Instagram and Facebook accounts, or if there are secret accounts there too, waiting to be discovered. We’ll keep you posted. Until then, rejoice! You can still get a dose of an unabashed Adele on Twitter (well, until her management finds the new handle, and cuts her off there too).
