Kendall and Kylie Jenner have pulled their ‘Rock vs. Rap’ Vintage Tee collection after receiving a shed load of backlash from both people online and relatives of the music icons used in the prints.

The collection features a range of T-shirts emblazoned with the names and logos of iconic music artists from Pink Flloyd and Metallica to Tupac and Biggie. Oh and did we mention the girls faces have been placed right over the top for good measure?

The sisters took to Instagram to promote the tee’s and things got pretty awkward very quickly. Firstly people are kind of scratching their heads over the whole ‘Vintage’ thing, especially since some of the newly released garms are quite literally topped off with the girls most recent Insta selfies.

People were quick to call them out on this in the comments, Sujey45 wrote: “How it a vintage tee if it has your face on it” while another simply put: “Das not vintage tf”.

Das not vintage indeed. Aside from the clear confusion over what vintage is, some fans felt like the sisters are totally disrespecting the icons on the tops and questioned whether they’ve actually listened to some of the artists.

One person wrote: “So Disrespectful, those are real artist not props/objects” and another put: “does she even know who Kiss is?”

Those who weren’t phased by the misleading title of the collection or the prints on the tee’s were defo over it when they saw the price, that’s because one of these vintage tee’s would set you back $125 – ouch.

After facing backlash from both Sharon Osbourne – wife of Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne, and Violetta Walace – the mother of Notorious B.I.G, Kendall and Kylie have withdrawn the line and issued an apology.

“These designs were not well thought out and we deeply apologise to anyone that has been upset and/or offended, especially to the families of the artists,” the sisters said in a statement.

They added: “We are huge fans of their music and it was not our intention to disrespect these cultural icons in anyway.”
