THE PRODUCER OF ‘FROZEN’ JUST DROPPED A BOMBSHELL ABOUT THE MOVIE’S ORIGINAL ENDING!

The best part about Elsa’s character in Frozen is that she’s not the typical cookie-cutter Disney heroine. For one thing, she doesn’t get swept off her feet by a dashing Prince, and for another, she’s not *exactly* the quirky, warm character we’re all used to.

Still, it turns out that people at Disney had massively different plans for her to begin with, with poor Elsa being cast a stone-cold “villian” with absolutely no connection to the hero of the story, Anna. Yikes.

“When we started off, Anna and Elsa were not sisters,” producer Peter Del Vecho told Entertainment Weekly. “They weren’t even royal. So Anna was not a princess.”

“Elsa was a self-proclaimed Snow Queen, but she was a villain and pure evil — much more like the Hans Christian Andersen tale. We started out with an evil female villain and an innocent female heroine and the ending involved a big epic battle with snow monsters that Elsa had created.”

It definitely sounds… different.

This of course completely jars with how the animation actually turned out, with the love between Anna and Elsa proving that there’s nothing more powerful than the bond between sisters.

All in all, we reckon the creative team made the right call by switching the story up.
