Zac Efron has revealed he almost got run over by a bus while on a bike-ride with The Greatest Showman co-star Hugh Jackman. The situation went down in London – with Zac underestimating just how much traffic there is in the city during rush hour. In an interview on the Graham Norton show, the 30-year-old discussed how close he came to death or serious injury.

“I cycled with him [Hugh] in London, but I’m not one to ride a bike early in the morning in traffic so it turned out to be quite dangerous,” Zac began. Revealing that the situation went from 0 to 100 within seconds, Zac continued: “I followed Hugh around a few cars and suddenly there was a double decker bus right in front of me.

Luckily Zac has some pretty speedy reflexes and managed to hit the brakes before the bus made impact with him: “I slammed on the brakes, went under the front tire and narrowly missed death.”

It sounds like a pretty horrifying experience but – on the plus side – at least Zac remained physically unharmed by the ordeal. Stay safe on the road, cyclists.

And maybe give bike-riding in London a miss for the time being, Zac?
