J.K. ROWLING WROTE A NEW CHILDREN’S BOOK AND HID IT IN THE WEIRDEST PLACE

If there’s one author out there who would take her birthday dress and turn it into a manuscript, it’s J.K. Rowling – who had no absolutely qualms about scribbling over the outfit she wore in honour of her 50th celebrations.

The Harry Potter author was hosting a birthday party on the theme ‘worst nightmares’ when she stumbled across the realisation that nothing could ever be worse than losing an entire manuscript. Hence the print-based dress. Go figure.

In an interview with CNN, J.K Rowling revealed that the writing itself wasn’t that much-longed-for sequel to Harry Potter and was, in fact, the mysterious political “fairytale” for children that she’s already hinted about in previous interviews.

“The theme of my 50th birthday, which I held at Halloween, even though that’s not really my birthday, has come as your own private nightmare,” she revealed. “And I went as a lost manuscript. And I wrote [most of it] over a dress.”

Standard magical behaviour, TBH.

Anyone hoping to get a glimpse of that potentially very lucrative dress will be surprised to hear of the weird location it’s currently hiding in: “I don’t know whether it will ever be published, but it’s actually hanging in a wardrobe.”

Sacrilege indeed. Can someone do the rest of us squibs a favour and take a quick HD shot on the sly?
